Are You Hurting Because of a Past Abortion Decision?
Because our culture says that abortion is a quick and safe solution with few consequences, many post-abortive individuals are surprised to find themselves struggling with fear, anger, sadness, and guilt. Sometimes these emotions are felt immediately but more often 5–20 years or more after the abortion.

Both men and women often need guidance through the specific steps of forgiveness, emotional healing, and restoration in order to overcome a past abortion decision. Pregnancy Decision Health Centers offers hope and healing through a program called H.E.A.R.T. (Healing the Effects of Abortion Related Trauma). H.E.A.R.T. is usually offered in the format of a seven-week workshop led by two trained volunteers, at least one of which is someone who has personally experienced abortion.
